If you're just looking for (1) a basic Windows PC to run basic office applications, web browsing and light gaming, and (2) your own Monitor and your own keyboard, then this Mini PC might be a good idea. The idea behind a mini PC is that unlike a standard tower PC, there are no internal slots where you can add your own graphics, network or other cards. You get built-in graphics and networking that suit 90% of users. This little PC is less than 6 inches square and less than 2 inches tall, but it's packed with features. I was able to use Bluetooth, WLAN 2.4 and 5.0 MHz and Ethernet without any problems. It has 4 USB ports, 2 HDMI ports, VGA, Ethernet, a headphone jack and a small slot for a mounting cable. You'll need your own monitor, keyboard and mouse - the box just has a PC, power cable, quick start guide and what appears to be an SSD enclosure if you want to add one. The few video connections are particularly good - I had an old VGA monitor lying around and used this, as well as an HDMI monitor, I was able to set up a dual screen without any problems. If I had a second HDMI monitor, I could even use three screens. The chip used is designed for a mini PC and isn't the fastest on the market, but this computer feels fast and responsive to me. It's great for web browsing, word processing, basic spreadsheets and graphics, and light gaming. I was able to run Netflix with no issues, but you'll need a good speaker either outside or on your monitor to get good sound for entertainment or gaming. Open up the PC and replace it with a larger SSD if the included 128GB isn't enough. (To swap out a 2.5" SSD, remove the screw on the back and press the latch so it pops out at the top - it pops open very easily.) I used to worry about the brand - me so don't know Kamrui I'm not sure how reliable their service will be. It appears to be a Chinese brand and the instructions list the manufacturer as Shenzhen CYX Industrial Co., Shenzen China. Their website is at cyxtech dot com and there is more information. This is similar to the CYX "GK3V" version of the model. That concern aside, so far this computer has been great. I think it would be a good choice for a home school or office if you don't need to set up your computer and don't want the absolute top of the range. It's easy to set up, fast, and has great functionality.
