After reading many reviews about the quality of this belt here and elsewhere, I decided to purchase it anyway. Many people report that the leather tears immediately after wearing. Quality check (bend test ), it was clear my belt was no different. It felt very dry. So what do you do with something that is dry? You moisten it. After applying a quality leather moisturizer to the belt, you see It looks good and feels good. That there is no sign it will tear. It's a good lesson for those new to leather. All leather needs care no matter what. In this case, it needed that Belt a little maintenance, but now it looks like it will be a quality belt.
