This version is "always on ". "GUIDE light ", not a "night light ". Homogeneous warm white light.

THIS IS THE ALWAYS-ON VERSION AND NOT the Dusk Till Dawn version of the sensor, despite what some reviews say. My guess is that they once sold both versions on the same website, which is why some of the reviews mention the sensor. The company that makes them (Jasco) also makes a version with a sensor that looks exactly the same... but it's now sold on a separate website here elsewhere at Revain. Please note that these are GUIDE lights and not night lights per se. The purpose of these lights - and how I use them - is to provide definition and guidance as to where the walls are at night in an unlit room, down a stairwell, or in a hallway. Do not illuminate the area. For this application they are bright enough, not too bright, and I would even agree with them if they were a little less bright than they really are. been there forever. These aren't LEDs, so their light isn't as even and bright as these warm white Jasco dots. And they are way cheaper than the hard to find even old amber/orange dots. I prefer this "always on" version. I don't want to rely on the accuracy of a sensor that always "knows" exactly when I want the light to come on... and not go on. And either way, running one of these always-on devices only costs about $0.50 a year. Jasco manufactures various small electronic products, including GE, Philips, Honeywell and Energizer branded products. My guess is that Jasco needs to be held to a much higher standard of quality... to retain the ability to license all these brands... than all the unnamed Chinese brands here on Revain. Many of them don't even provide a full product specification. In that sense, these Jasco products are a better choice than most. I have two Jasco/GE power strips at home and they are well designed, have great features and seem to work as they should. simpler and easier on the eye...like the traditional amber color...or better yet, the calming blue color used to illuminate the buttons (and activity lights, etc.) of many electronic devices these days. This is a one star ringtone.
