Definitely shatterproof, but not stain-resistant. My son loves pasta and meatballs. But the sauce in those bowls gets dirty, and that's ugly! Also, I thought the bowls were a bit bigger, no big deal. Aside from the things we love about bowls, they did the job. Although I wouldn't buy it again.
