I needed a matte black detachable shower head to go with my refurbished shower heads, both standard and rain shower. But most detachable shower heads were astronomically expensive, around $300 plus. I needed this to wash off a large sub-par shower and sometimes a few dirty dogs. For $50 and a description I thought it was worth a try. Nothing fancy, just solid metal construction including part of the hose. It was very well packaged with all the necessary tools and a crochet hook to remove the flow ring to increase water flow and a wrench to install the head holder and hose adapter. A tip for those with low water pressure. I went ahead and removed the entire plastic flow restrictor, not just the black o-ring. I'm on well water and although for the water pressure it's pretty decent. I wanted more flow. The flow restrictors are located at the base of the shower handle and a piece of white plastic is pressed in. Using a strong (i.e. not thin) sharp knife, it can be removed from the handle without scratching or damaging the handle. It has a very thick metal construction and it really impressed me when I did this little procedure. The water flow is dense, symmetrical and constant. If you are not sure about your water pressure. Just remove the o-ring first - give it a try. If this is not sufficient, proceed as described above. I have absolutely no regrets. Very high quality and excellent weight at a very reasonable price. Finish works very well after a month, but don't expect any problems after working with it. If you're thinking of that shower and not worrying about the many dial settings to play with. This is the one.
