Easy to use after reading the manual a few times

Easy to use for a beginner right out of the box. Set everything to Auto and you can get good still life and portrait shots with no movement. With a little reading you can get some really good action/sports shots. By reading a lot, you can take GREAT pictures. If you want to play with all the filters, it's very easy to scroll through them all. I usually use a tripod and take a picture, then scroll down to the next filter and do it over and over again until I've done them all. And I will do this for everything from portraits to landscapes to children's games. Taking notes along the way, tracking the number of times I wait after I click the button until I hear the image click. It's usually pretty fast, but on my last 100 acre rally in the woods, I kind of switched from sport (8fps) to landscape/portrait without knowing it, ending up with a 2 second wait and a blurry image. Mud and gravel, but no car. It only took 2 seconds to put it back into sport mode for the next car and I had no problems with it for the rest of the day. The battery life is excellent. But there is no auto shutdown, at least I haven't found it yet. We took 533 photos and then drove for 2 hours while waiting for the start of the last leg of the rally. The battery flickered when I removed it from the case and still got 16-6 seconds of 1080p video of cars zooming by with the night filter on. Date issue: Every time I charge the battery I have to go into settings and set the date and time. Not sure. Changing lenses is easy, just don't lose the back cover. The camera didn't come with a cover so you must always have a lens to protect the innards.
