Obviously I'm not the one using them but I'm the one who paid for them and the one with the thumbs back so it's me who writes this review. I have linen furniture, very modern, and two 4 month old kittens. They are both boys and both love to play fights. They also like to use my furniture as wood, but since I introduced the scratching post, they haven't touched my furniture much. I read about a million reviews before deciding on this post, mainly because 1) it's not scary to look at 2) it's a pretty good size, especially for two growing kittens 3) it seemed sturdy, in contrast to those little things that look like poles. and 4) I've read that sisal is "softer" with this material, which is more in line with the fabric of my furniture, and cats probably like it better. Well, I know all cats are different, but this one suits me. I didn't even have to set an incentive to get them to use it.
