I bought this for use in alternative processes like cyanotype and callitype and am very happy with the results. It's always on when it's plugged in so I hooked it up to an old magnifying timer in a dark room and they work great together and the LED takes about 2-3 seconds to turn on after using it for the first time power was supplied. A 50 watt unit at 12 inches from the coated paper gives me an exposure time of 8-14 minutes for cyanotypes depending on the negative. Alternative printing apps aside, it's also pretty cool to sometimes just point at things to see them in different colors. / View details hidden in normal lighting. PS Quans. If I could change one thing, I'd really appreciate a model where the components pop out from under the LEDs to provide a fixed bezel size on all sides, making it easier to place them.
