I bought this microphone to use with my GoPro Hero 4 Black when I record videos for my YouTube channel. Using the camera's internal microphone worked well, but not very well. The internal microphone picked up a slight echo and background noise in my workshop. Using this external mic cleaned up the sound quite a bit and allows me to focus the mic on my voice or whatever I'm trying to record, which is nice. The mic itself looks high quality, the mic body and clip are metal, not fragile plastic. The cable is good and long, with many additional elements that allow you to move the microphone away from the camera and move it around a bit. I used the included adapter to a standard stereo plug to work with the GoPro mic adapter cable. Good to know the mic will also work with my phone, tablet, PC or pretty much anything I've ever wanted to connect it to. lol The included foam covers are nice too, they should make it easier to match the mic with other clothing if you want to hide it a little better.
