available I used to use Logitech M510. Can't remember the model number. I was a fan of Logitech and bought their first wireless mouse, the MouseMan, in the 90's. It was expensive. he was big The CR123 battery was expensive and didn't last 6 months. The connection to the computer was unreliable. But these were new technologies. Anyway, I digress. The M510 was a good inexpensive mouse that got the job done. But it didn't hold up to my game (FPS). About a year later, the left mouse button began to fail. I was no longer a fan of Logitech. LOL To replace this mouse I bought a TeckNet Classic mouse. Again a good budget mouse, similar in shape to Logitech. This mouse worked well until the side button for going back to web pages started failing. I use this button to activate my microphone while gaming. I use this button probably as much as I use the left mouse button to "shoot" in FPS games. This mouse lasted about a year before the side button failed. I've been using Cherry MW 3000 for about a year and a half now. and so far everything is going well. I thought it was failing as I was having scrolling issues. That's why I bought a WisFox mouse. With Wisfox connected, I was still having trouble scrolling. It turned out that the scrolling problem was not with the Cherry mouse but with Windows. After turning off the computer and turning off the power supply, the scrolling problem disappeared. After this issue was resolved, I decided to keep the WisFox mouse connected to try it out. This is a good mouse, similar to the Logitech M510. . It looks like all the keys in my game are holding up for a while. The time will show. The mouse wheel lock feels very good. When scrolling through weapons in my FPS games, Cherry can skip them, but the WisFox wheel is more accurate. Cherry seems to have better tracking, but maybe I'm just getting used to the new WisFox. After fixing my Windows scrolling issue I wanted to return WisFox but I really like it and I will keep it and use one or the other as a fallback. I like the fact that it only uses one AA battery. Cherry uses two AAA batteries. I like to use rechargeable NiMH batteries and always have a fresh set with me. Logitech had the best battery life and Cherry had the worst as the rechargeable AAA batteries had to be replaced about every 2-3 months. I haven't had WisFox long enough to see how long the battery lasts.
