These lights are fantastic. The main LED is fairly bright at the maximum setting, the side LEDs are almost as bright and pleasing when used with a magnet, and the black light is surprisingly effective. Haven't used red light yet, but it would be great for reading at night without sacrificing night vision (red lights are best for this, blue are worst), and a blinking red and white flash would be great. a safety device for road emergencies, especially since there is a magnet. You can mount this on the side of your car and rotate the flash towards traffic to alert people to your presence. I use these lights almost daily as an auto detailer and they are amazing for the price. I have tried many devices and they are all about the same within the price range. I stopped buying "good" flashlights because they keep growing legs, so I went with this price range. These lanterns are a lot of fun, especially since you get two of them! The case is pleasant to the touch, it is made entirely of metal and feels good in the hand. The button feels good and gives good feedback when pressed. The features make sense (tap once to cycle through modes, hold to turn off; the light turns on at max brightness so you don't have to press multiple times to get to what most people use most use) and the charging port looks solid. but a little tight. However, the batteries are removable. So if you ever damage the charging port, you can easily charge the batteries yourself so they don't become paperweights if the charger fails. It's also microUSB, so you can use any of the dozens of cables you probably already have. The only drawback is the battery life. With the included batteries, you can count on a total runtime of 2 hours at maximum brightness. There are MANY battery options now (they use 18650 cells which are very popular due to vaping) so this can probably be improved by simply buying better batteries, but this should be considered if you plan on using them frequently or daily base to use. I usually charge mine every other day if I use it regularly and I only have one cube after a day of heavy use. But it would be pretty easy to keep spare batteries or just keep that second flashlight you get as a backup! Overall, this is one of the best flashlights I've found so far. Would buy again.
