I appreciate socks for winter and they are perfect for boots. Thanks to the high leg, they perfectly protect against the winter weather and hide under jeans or tights. I think the size I got (kids size 4-8.5 / 18-36 m) was almost out of proportion to the foot size and leg size. I only used them for one winter and didn't feel they were a good commercial benefit to us. I think if you live in an area where it snows regularly in winter and your kid would wear snowshoes or boots for outdoor work it would be better. Overall they are warm and cozy and never fall off. They keep out drafts really well and keep the little one warm without making the shoe too big.
