Review on Flash Furniture Adjustable Drawing Drafting by Mike Cooper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great desk for the money if you can pack without holding your hand

This is a sturdy little desk that works well and is the perfect size and function for my artistic 13 year old has the age. an old daughter and her huge collection of pencils and erasers. For $60, this is a solid purchase. Nobody should expect the kind of quality that calls for abuse at this price point. Like all cheap furniture, you need to assemble them properly and take care of them properly to get the most out of them. It's better made and has a lot more features than the same price Wal-Mart desk that I bought for my son to do his homework. my daughter loves it Don't buy it and rate it as junk if you don't know how to put things together. My 14 year old son put it together in an hour with just pictures. He only had to consult me on two aspects: - He had never used a self tapping screw to thread the pilot hole and was embarrassed because of the small hole diameter - I had to show him how to disassemble the drawer slides to install them. To the right. Everything else ran smoothly and without problems. Since many of the one star reviews seem to suffer from the same (or more) confusion as my son, I've written a note below to help resolve this issue. To install the drawer, first install the slides (which can be disassembled by pressing the curved plastic tab onto the slide while spreading it apart) into the appropriate parts (outer slide on the frame, inner slide on the drawer). . Then install the box. Now you can ONLY squeeze the frame as far as it will go, but make sure the drawer still slides effortlessly. As with all cheap furniture, you should apply Loc-Tite to all items to take care of the problem of loose nuts, bolts and screws when moving. This is the most common durability problem with cheap furniture. Something loosens, then something bends or breaks, etc. It's always a chain reaction of failure until it's utter junk.
