Heavy Duty One Piece Mount

This is a great mount for 16" studs. I hung it this weekend and the 26 inch width gives you good positioning flexibility. With 24" cleats you may need a slightly wider bracket. I used it to hang a 55" Samsung flat panel display with VESA 400 mounting holes. With this setting, I have a range of about 6 inches to move the TV left or right of center, allowing me to position the TV exactly where I wanted. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow and even indicated the correct drill bit to use. for the guide holes. There is a lot of TV mounting material included, unfortunately the TVs are so different that the screws I needed were not included. I don't blame Sanus, there are too many configurations to try and predict. I was able to get it quickly I picked what I needed (M8x45mm) at Lowe's. I recommend looking at your TV's assembly instructions to see in advance which screws you need to prepare. I've been arguing between this mount and some of the cheaper, highly rated options for days. but in the end I figured a single steel mounting plate would be a safe way to save a little more money. When you're spending $1,000 on a TV, don't skimp on the details. Having a mounting plate is safer and easier to level. The two arms that connect to the back of the TV are well designed and have a spring-loaded latch at the bottom. I installed them on my TV following the instructions and was able to easily attach the TV to the mounting plate. Spring-loaded clips snap into place instantly. The TV slides easily from side to side which is a plus/minus. I want the set screw to prevent my kids from accidentally knocking it to the side after I've adjusted the position. The angle adjustment is quite simple, there are two screws with knobs that can be turned by hand. You should probably set them at the expected angle with moderate tension before lifting the TV into place. If you have big hands, it's difficult to reach for the TV to adjust the knobs after it's hanging on the wall. The TV is so close to the wall that there is no space behind it for cables or other things. I was able to get a small extension cord and my TV only has one cord coming out horizontally from the back and going to an HDMI hub, but if you need to hook up a few cords after it's on the wall that could be a problem. Phone call. Especially when the cables come straight from the back of the TV. You'll probably want to connect as many as possible before lifting the TV into place. Once everything is connected, it looks great.

A barebones model without all the niceties of the fancier Sanus models, but it gets the job done
