BE a blanket.: Blankets and Bedspreads

I live in Montana. Winter is definitely the predominant season here. When I found out that wearable blankets were really needed, I started searching for the right one. I found some promising options and had to make a big decision: a prettier poncho-style plaid dress or a walking plaid dress. , deep hood and overall length. I finally settled on this one thinking it would be warmer and while the flattering shape was sacrificed, the warmth and coziness definitely wasn't! So for me (at 5ft 7in) it hits a little above the ankles. I can walk around in it without tripping, and surprisingly, although the thing FLOATS around me, nothing bothers me. Which brings me to my next point: the sleeves have hoodie-style cuffs that don't get in the way of most arm fabrics when you're pouring a cup of coffee or putting a log on the fire. The hood is very low and can easily be pulled over your eyes for a nap, and the fabric is undeniably soft. But with that AWESOME soft plushness comes my only downside: This thing sheds. As soon as I opened it I knew it was about to leak. I immediately tossed it in the wash, tumble dried (cool, delicate) on low, went over everything with a soft bristle brush, then used a lint roller! Yes, I cleaned and rolled up the villi! While I was at it, my husband made up a few jokes... But I'll tell you, it's worth it! The thing doesn't fluff anymore and I like to wear it when it's FROST in the house in the morning or when I'm sitting on the couch with a good book. My husband even threatened to steal it from me several times. In general, I strongly recommend treating yourself or a loved one to it! A very thoughtful gift, regardless of gender.
