This is a brilliantly designed portable studio, but it still needs to be used properly. Reading the number of complaints about the crease in the background, people are clearly not following the instructions. You need to set the camera profile to the recommended settings - manual setting of ISO and shutter speed and comp. exposure. This is stated on the website but not in the manual which is unfortunate. This provides the optimal amount of light to darken the background and reveal the subject. Looking at sample photos, people are shooting with an automatic camera profile that exposes a white background, leaving it a messy off-white/grey, thus clearly showing the shadow of the background crease. I agree with all the pros of this photo studio; I'll list what I see as cons: - no additional colored backgrounds - no dimmable LEDs - no on/off switch for LEDs - interesting to know the actual CRI of the LEDs - despite setting the white balance to 5500-5600K I get a slight one greenish tint to fix (maybe it's just my camera) - would have liked to have bought extra LED strips to attach separately - opaque sides, you can't use extra lighting to sneak in from the side - for the price , add a cheap reflector to reflect partial lights inside - I think LEDs provide adequate illumination, but more lumens are always welcome. While I'd love to see more for the next iteration of this portable studio, I found what's on offer to be more than worth the price. And you can't beat simplicity and convenience, especially when portability is a must.
