They're great because they have enough rubber surface to provide grip while twisting or turning. The straps do not fasten, which comes in handy when washing. Like all cotton socks, they shrink in the dryer. Two of the straps of the 6 socks were torn but can still be used as they are attached with velcro. I have ordered many pairs of these socks for my dog and they have proven to be the best based on the amount of rubber surface, the length of the sock and the length of the velcro. I wish there was a small rubber tab sewn into the end of each strap for easier removal when my pup needs to go outside. However, I am grateful that there are 6 in a pack. good value
