First: I received no compensation for your purchase. I bought a size large and they fit both a size 9.5 hiking boot and a size 9.5 Merril hiking boot. Haven't tried them on my sorels yet and know they get tight. Bought for winter hiking, just last weekend did two hikes 4 miles northeast in freezing, snowy, rocky, steep and at one point greasy mud. They worked flawlessly and all I had to do was pull on the back to tighten them up a bit on my second hike. The spikes themselves appear to be rust free as advertised and the chains appear to be chrome plated (don't know if they are rust free). The metal hasn't rusted yet. I went with a group on both hikes, almost everyone wore EMS studs, which look pretty much the same, although the rubber is a muted red. They are orange and definitely stand out - see photos. The only drawback was the Velcro closures. Their length was not enough to thread the top and secure the velcro. So I didn't use them, but without them there wasn't a single problem. Great price compared to brand name and much more expensive. I think they are even slightly better than these. If they run into problems I'll post an update. Until then, I recommend these!
