Full Disclaimer: This is a product that I purchased with my own money. I did not receive this product for review. Overall, this product is very promising and delivers what it promises. Made from very light aluminum and the base is Arca-Swiss compatible. In terms of build quality, however, it feels a little rough. The main screw is not smooth and feels jerky. The pitch of the screw is also very fine, meaning more turns are required to open the jaws. There is a 1/4" threaded hole at the top of the main screw handle, so you can mount, for example, a microphone or something that uses a male 1/4" plug, e.g. B. a small LED bar. The base itself has 2 threaded holes, 1/4" and 3/8" so you can either attach your own plate (such as Manfrotto's quick release plate) or mount directly. on a tripod. If you have an Arca-Swiss style ball head tripod, you can mount the Gript directly onto the ball head. Ideal for videos and time-lapses with your smartphone. I'm only giving it 4 stars because of the poor build quality. It's not shabby by any means, just could be more sophisticated overall. Other than that, the ease of use and features definitely deserve 5 stars.
