This bag is more than adequate for storing your Big Buddy heater and all the parts you would normally use in a portable setup. I managed to get two 1lb propane cans in the front pocket, two cans in the heater side compartments (not screwed into the valve for safety reasons) and a large propane tank connection hose in the rear compartment. Plenty of space for other items if needed. Contrary to some other descriptions, I had no problem putting the heater in my pocket. There are large D-shaped loops for attaching carry straps, and a shoulder strap is included. If you're not happy with the strap, assuming it's not difficult to make a hand carry strap that attaches or snaps onto the strap's D-rings. A short rope is fine. The bag is, in my opinion, ideal for keeping the heater and various parts together, as well as for keeping them clean. The material of the bag is relatively light and does not offer sufficient protection for the contents. When transporting and storing, you need to be aware that what you are carrying is potentially dangerous. The device must be handled and stored with care to avoid shocks that could damage the canister or damage the heating elements and gas lines. With these limitations, the bag does its job well.
