Duralex can't be beat. this thing is insanely strong. It's not so much glass, it's another version of Pyrex, so even if it should break - and NONE of mine have broken yet, although I don't care about them - they don't break, so you won't be with them a billion shards, but with nice big pieces of glass that are easy to see and clean. I not only use it in the microwave but also in the fryer/toaster. nothing has broken yet. I use this for portion control (a handful of nuts), dipping sushi in soy sauce, and Korean banchan.
