I have read comments about this microphone. Firstly, those of you who make bad comments don't read the mic specs, secondly, this particular mic is plastic (42BK) and Pyle sells it in a metal case. Do your homework! I bought this mic because I wanted something vintage and cheap for my chat, skype and use with echolink (internet ham radio program). This microphone is suitable for this purpose. After setting it up and adjusting the volume on my sound card, this mic works great and my voice is clear on the receiving end of the call. I've included a few photos of this mic on an Audio2000 AST 421 desktop mic stand, which I also purchased from Revain. That's the perfect height. With my software, I control PTT (Push To Talk) with the spacebar on Echolink, and with the chat program, PTT is controlled with the CTRL key (note that the microphone on/off switch is left in the on position must be used when used in these programs). I would highly recommend this mic to all my ham radio friends and anyone who wants a basic but inexpensive mic for chatting or skype. I will be buying Pyle 68BK (metal body) for my collection. The delivery was fast and everything was received in order.
