Pretty nice, looks like glass and is light. Since I had a 5-year-old child in the house, I didn't want to buy an apothecary jar. This worked great for my bath salts. It's not very large and comfortably holds about 4 pounds of Epsom salts. Other small items will likely work just fine - with regular bars of soap, etc., only a few will fit. I would recommend washing by hand rather than in the dishwasher (which usually ruins the finish). I hope they make larger sizes that look like glass. Dimensions With lid, height = 7-3/4 inches, diameter = 5-3/16 inches, without lid: approx. 6-1/2 inches high.
