This is an excellent hard case, waterproof, padded and designed to give me the protection I need. In figures 1 and 5 the housing is closed. This uses dense multi-layer foam with softer eggcrate foam on the lid. The red layer can be easily removed as it has 2 small rope lifting handles, one on each edge. (Figure 2). The bottom layer has a peelable adhesive so I can stick it or not as I want. (Figure 4). The red 1st layer also has a block with the same shell type. The intermediate layer has several removable "frames". (Figure 3). There are also 4 small extra plastic tubes that fit. You also have room for a small laptop or tablet! Although designed specifically for one product, it can certainly be modified by cutting out the foam to fit other things. In my opinion, the case itself is in no way inferior to the well-known P*lican brand in terms of quality. It's worth it for the durability and protection!
