Turn on and off: no timer but flickering robotic flame.
I was misled by the advertising and thought they might turn on and off as advertised. But no, it's just an on/off switch, and the glow is fairly electronic, like the icicle lights coming out in December, rather than the low, uncertain hum of a candle. better electric or not. I have yet to see how long the batteries last when running 12 hours a day, so stay tuned for my next report๐ค
