I bought these to replace the zipper pullers on a pair of zippered compression stockings. The original tie rods were plastic with latches and they pulled out when I first tried to use them. I saw her and dared. Very happy! They are the perfect size, very durable and work great. If you've never worn compression stockings before, you might not know how strong the compression is. These socks have been rated for compression of 40-50mmHg which is one of the highest. That means it takes a lot of effort to unzip and for someone like me (not young, not flexible, not flexible, not skinny) some help is needed. With them I can hold the two sides of the zipper together with one hand and use the zipper to unzip the zipper. The textured grip is non-slip, even if my hands are a little wet that's fine. Wow! It has helped turn a two person job into a one person job and I can put my socks on in less than 10 minutes. The cable is surprisingly strong and I haven't had any issues so far. generally with a textured plastic "pull" part. I've been using the same pair of these socks daily for the past 3 weeks and they show no signs of wear or durability issues. (Photo attached.) Highly recommend!
