I needed to connect an electronic component behind our console and it needed to be plugged in directly rather than using an extension cord or pole. The other connector also had a fairly large connector and there was no room for both. This solves this problem. Little did I know that I needed a plastic frame to install it. It is sold separately so plan on buying it.
