Review on Columbia Ascender Hooded Softshell X Large Men's Clothing and Active by Jerome Brooks

I was looking for a fleece jacket with a shell but couldn't find the right one. I started looking into softshells and settled on the Columbia Ascender. Conclusion: It is very well made and true to size. It's dense when I wear a fleece jacket underneath. The dark blue color is beautiful. Blocks the wind very well. Easily repels light rain. Thin, not as warm as I expected but if you want a lightweight jacket it will work well in most 3 season situations. The hood is so big it covered my eyes until I adjusted it. The only thing that frustrates me is that the hood doesn't have a drawstring to tighten my face when it gets windy and the wind blows. hood from the head.
