I get asked that every time I wear it.

It would be great if it could be rotated easily to use the hourglass part, but it has a very neat and unique look. "Diamond" dust in an hourglass is more like salt rubbed in black chalk. It's not very shiny you mean, but maybe just unpolished? The pendant is approximately 2.5 cm long and is very well put together overall. All stems and cap ends are straight and not off-center, giving it a more premium look.
