I love everything about this oil pan but wish it was made out of something other than plastic so it looks a little nicer on the table. However, it is well designed and worth it. The kit includes a butter knife that has a small edge so it never rests on the table. It also snaps onto the lid. There are small holes on the edge of the butter knife. So scraping it over the butter as shown in my photo gives you little curls that are perfect for when you want to spread firm butter on a brittle piece of toast. There are tablespoon marks on the inside of the pan, which is very convenient for the cook. The holder is suitable for both long and short butter quarters.
