Low absorbency
On my travels in Europe I have used Turkish towels which are more like linen and have good absorbency. I bought this set to use as lightweight bath towels. They are listed as 100% cotton. I'm not sure. They look beautiful and are very soft. When I try to use them after a shower they don't really absorb water. Worse, even after multiple washes, they leave lint all over the place! They are perfect as a lightweight beach towel or as a lightweight duvet for train or plane travel. They don't make very good towels.
