Food Storage Container

This is a sturdy, well-made container with a plastic, silicone or other material seal in the lid. At first glance it seemed like he had a really good tightness. This was the first time I tried storing flour in it. I pushed the lid down and it kind of popped back out. I tried again, squeezing hard and twisting back and forth and it sealed, but then pops out again. I emptied and washed it and it closes tight when empty. I then filled it with granulated sugar and it worked fine. I then emptied it and filled it with powdered sugar, but this time it was like before: if you push the lid shut, it pops up again as soon as you let go of your hand. I think because of the flour powder and powdered sugar the top rim of the canister lost its seal or something. I think it would be fine for anything else like nuts, granulated sugar, or maybe something other than something powdery or fluffy that sticks to the top edge where it will be sealed.
