Review on Osprey Packs Pogo Kids Daypack by Joseph Flamm

Finally found the right backpack for my son!

A few days ago my son went to kindergarten. I've been looking for his backpack for two months! (I know this is ridiculous, but I couldn't help it.) I considered LL Bean, Lands' End, North Face for their durability, lifetime warranty, and good reviews. My son already has a Disney backpack that my son used for his preschool but I was hoping to buy a little bit more. I first started "exploring" LL Bean backpacks. They're cute, durable, and their warranty and customer service is really great. However, they have a very limited selection of bags with an external water bottle pocket. After browsing the LL Bean website for a few days, I thought I'd buy a Bean research backpack (1152 cu in, 25 L, 16½"H x 12¼"L x 8"D). But as I visited the LL Bean store to try this backpack on before ordering, the shoulder straps fell out when my son tried it on , I wasn't thrilled with their design so I went to North Face from Lands' End End (again). .I actually bought a North Face Youth Recon Squash backpack (1037 cu in, 17L) and my son and I have a sternum strap, side mesh pockets and a cute design I've read in some reviews that the bag is a bit smaller , but I still didn't want him to carry a HUGE backpack, now I found out I have to pack two lunch bags every day because he needs two snacks and one lunch, this cute Nort backpack h Face was too small for that. So I had to start looking again ch make his backpack. Then I came across this backpack. While unfamiliar with this brand (Osprey), I did read about their lifetime warranty on their website. And I love the fact that it has a chest strap, a separate pocket in the main compartment and another smaller compartment (but bigger than I thought) and two external mesh pockets. It's a large size (1465 cu in, 24 L, 17 x 12 x 10) but with a shoulder strap, it's not too bulky for my son (45 inches tall and a little thin). I was hesitating between the Osprey Pogo and the Osprey Koby (1220cc 16x12x10) but I'm so glad I bought it instead of the Koby. I definitely recommend it to all parents who want to buy a durable, ergonomic, not too bulky but big enough for lots of stuff and cute backpack. with a lifetime guarantee!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Good, but not great
