Bought this cutter today. Bought because I'm on a working holiday and needed to cut £100 postcards. (260gsm) Bristol paper. It will cut in a straight line if you align your page carefully. The square bar is useless (as with all low level cutters) so just look it up and add layout marks if needed. It's a $10 tool, so don't cry if you have to throw it in the trash. I had two blades, both double-sided. Based on my experience with similar products, I can easily cut about 1000 4x6 cards from the above stock. I sell my tickets for a dollar each, so count. If you can't believe your eyes or are looking for something simpler, buy a better trimmer. If you cut coupons or do scrapbooking this tool will work really well, but honestly I can't imagine using this thing to cut a coupon. there are scissors for that, and besides, when was the last time you saw a sunday newspaper full of coupons. If you're scrapbooking, use scissors because remember that. You "scrapbooking" keyword scrap. All cutters have blades that may or may not be dull titanium, so you have to live with that. My advice since I'm sure the blades cost almost as much as the tool itself (if you can even find them) just buy another one for ten bucks as it works exactly as it should. it works like a ten dollar trimmer.
