Remote Switch with LED

This is a really great idea that I didn't even know about until recently, but it's so simple and works well. It simply plugs into the PC motherboard connected to a regular PC power button and allows you to turn on the computer when it's hidden under the table or hard to reach. It comes with a fairly long 6-foot cable and a splitter that allows you to keep using the original power button if you so choose. Connecting an LED is optional and they also connect to the motherboard pins where the power LED would normally be connected. Anyone who has built a PC will be able to connect it immediately without any problems. If you have never connected this type of connector before, it is not difficult. Make sure your computer is turned off and unplugged, open the case and in the lower right corner of the motherboard you will see several connected devices. POWER SW should be written on both the original connector and the motherboard. There is no + or - for the switch, it's just a momentary switch connection. Put in a new switch and you're done. The LED is a bit trickier because you need to get the polarity right, but if the old connectors are labeled you can just swap them out one at a time, and some motherboards have multiple power LED pins. My Gigabyte motherboard has a little plastic thing that should make it easier to connect the pins. I had to remove it, insert a splitter, and then connect both switches to it, which isn't a big deal. Overall, the switch works well and can also be used for anything that requires an instant switch, e.g. B. restarting a PC. The cap has a rubberized texture and can be replaced with any Cherry MX style cap. The switch they use is similar to the Cherry Blue switch and is made by Huano; Similar to Gateron or Kailh and feels pleasantly clicky when pressed. Really good product. Simple, effective and it works every time. My main gaming PC is mounted high on the wall (Thermaltake Core P3) so having this switch made it much easier to turn on my PC while sitting at my desk.
