At first I didn't understand the hype about ordinary cough drops. The one I had was terrible and my newborn absolutely hated taking it. It worked to calm her down, but it was very difficult to get her to take it without gasping and gagging, although she followed all the advice. Then they gave me a sample of this gel in exchange for my honest review. I wasn't expecting much but wow it was great! As it is a gel it is very easy to give to my 3 week old baby. I placed a pea-sized drop on the end of her pack and she immediately sucked it up. It tastes so much better than the regular water I've been drinking and she seems to like it too. The ingredients are simple. This helps calm her post-feeding nervousness, and she falls asleep quickly. It doesn't seem to work as well on hiccups, but that's not our biggest problem. I loved this gel so much I bought two more before our first sample ran out! I hope they do a nighttime version too.
