Ok charger just doesn't work for me with my setup

Pros: The charger works and the arm stays where you bend it. There is no need to have or buy a separate charging cable or plug as both are provided. The arms open when he sees movement in front of him and close on their own, so that was cute. The temple lift button is on the back of the top of the holder, so it was difficult to accidentally press or touch it. If you forget to open it before you park the car, you can just slide the phone up and out as your hands won't clench very tightly. Not so good: The charger moves a bit in the lighter plug, even more. So if the weight of the phone was in there. It would be better if the plug went straight to the ground instead of horizontally from front to back, or if you could brace it against something. The vent clip just fell off under the weight of the phone so it was useless to me. Now for the issues that are more specific to me: try as I might, I couldn't find a position where this would work for me. I'm driving manual and the arm on the charger isn't long enough to get my phone out of the way to my switch. I found a position that would interfere with flipping the switch into reverse, so I tried that for a week, but the charger itself gave me trouble too. Hands close on the side button of my phone, I have a Galaxy 7s Active. The button it was closed on is the volume down button. Every time I hit a bump, the volume on my phone went down to 0. Overall it's pretty decent, and I could see that it might work really well for some people, but it just doesn't work with my current phone or car.

Pros
  • Auto mount and smart positioning
Cons
  • Update available
