Too small but sturdy.

May 2016 If you're looking for a pair of extra small gloves then these are for you! I usually wear small gloves (size 6.5 for surgical gloves) and they are SUPER small. With a little effort I was able to attach them. Okay, we tried quite a bit, but the gloves weren't damaged. Well made, no flaws other than size. You are attractive. They're a little stiff, but that may be due to their extreme "smallness" and the fact that they're leather. EVERY piece of leather I've ever owned was "tough" and needed breaking in. The elastic band around the wrist prevents a lot of dirt from getting into the glove and it holds up well even when wet. They breath. They are just TOO small! I wish I hadn't waited to get them back, but I really wanted to give them a chance to stretch. I have to say I'm disappointed but I'll do my best and update if or if anything needs updating. when I had no choice because my other gloves were dirty and/or in the wash and I had to do heavier work in the garden (after a hurricane and with branches, shovels, rakes, spikes, etc.). Eventually they stretched enough - without damage - to be usable. Although they were tight, they didn't dress. I've used them regularly in sandy soil, potting soil, rose bushes, around cacti and with various hand tools. The spikes rarely hit me - except on the upper arms where there is no skin - and my hands stayed relatively dry. They were REALLY good at keeping dirt out considering how form fitting and tight they were. And despite my first review, I loved them. These gloves really protected me to say the least! Unfortunately, less than a year later, the leather area covering my wrist tore from one seam to the next. It wasn't the stitching that ripped, it was the skin! They have been washed well but NEVER tumble dried - they have been air dried, weatherproofed on the inside. While I know gardening gloves aren't meant to last forever, as a humble person I sincerely hoped I could live on these gloves for AT LEAST a year considering how much I paid for them (MUCH more than I've ever paid for a gardening glove). and brand (JOHN DEERE!). In hindsight I would have sent them back for a larger size but they fit great and like I said I loved them! They were very comfortable and really protected my hands - even my nails stayed clean! Can I recommend it after almost a year of use? yes, with caution First, they are small. As mentioned above, if you have almost childishly small, dainty, thin hands, increase the size; they fit the shape and you need some wiggle room. Secondly, NEVER EVER tumble dry them! They're leather, and cows are never tumble dried, so it shouldn't be leather! LAUGH OUT LOUD! Thirdly, with intensive use, do not wait for them more than a year, otherwise they will last a long time! Lastly, ENJOY!
