I bought these for my 20 month old son who started walking at 18 months. He blistered where the strap touched the arch of his foot. He whimpers when I put them on (I put a band-aid on him to protect him) but then he walks in them perfectly. The ankle strap only fits the largest size and this is a medium sized child. You look adorable! I had them for my other son and he had no problems.
