Review on Canon EOS 90D Body camera, black by Aashit Aashit ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

I have a 70D and really wanted to upgrade. Therefore, I will compare with her. Who is this camera for: Advanced wildlife, bird and landscape photographers. The camera is very well made. Very nice to hold in your hand. The grip is slightly better than the 70D. Doesn't slip or rub. On the left side, if you look like a photographer, there are various ports with reliable plugs. The 90D is 60 grams lighter than the 70D. A trifle, but nice. Also, with the same LP-E6N battery, it shoots 1.5 times more frames, which is already more significant. Shutter sound when shooting through the viewfinder: "tram" in the middle key. In pre-production cameras, they said that the maximum working ISO-6400. I easily raise it to 12800 depending on the object. The base camera has 5 autofocus points. There is 1 small dot with which you can get through a large layer of branches to the goal. There is also 1 point of standard size. Some surprise was the work of the exposure meter. At 70D, when shooting bright objects, I had to do exposure compensation by -1. This camera does not need to do this. The speed and duration of continuous shooting on the 70D was greatly improved by the Lexar 2022x memory card, which has a speed of 300 MB/s. This card has no effect on 90D. You can install a simple SanDisk Ultra 40 MB / s and the photo recording speed will be the same. I shoot only in JPEG. The shutter is very sensitive. I was able to take individual shots even at 10 fps. Low speed ~3 fps. I did not shoot the video even for the sake of interest, although I did the settings. There are separate ports for microphone and headphones. You can adjust the sound. Wi-Fi is quick and easy to set up. There is no separate Wi-Fi button on the case, but I moved it to the SET button and it is pressed in standby mode. The camera quickly found my smartphone. I also have a Canon M5 mirrorless camera. Ceteris paribus, IMHO, the noise in frames at ISO-12800 in the M5 is greater than that of the 90D. And it's indecent to compare with the 70D.

Pros
  • Long battery life, very comfortable grip, good weight distribution, high-quality work at high ISO values.
Cons
  • The MENU and INFO buttons wobble slightly in their sockets, but this is more of a nitpick. Few customizable buttons. The electronic level in the viewfinder is frankly poorly represented.
