Nice case but the smell is overwhelming

The color in the photo is wrong. It's a lot redder than it looks in the picture. This is a very strong case. Good thickness and seems very durable. However, the smell is very strong. When transporting my laptop, the whole room where the case is (car, room, office, etc.) smells like a case. It's very strong. I've tried venting, but so far to no avail. It's been a week and the smell hasn't gone away. Anyway, he's getting stronger.
