The light is very bright and the colors are pleasant. I connected 3 wires to a control connector (max recommended) and there is no noticeable difference in brightness from one end to the other. I've only worn them for a week so can't comment on durability, but I've found that when cycling through the different flashing modes for each of the modes that separate blue/green and red/amber light, the filaments don't sync . This means that when two adjacent filaments glow red/yellow, the third glows blue/green and they flip as the light goes through its cycle. It looks weird in our house, so for now I'll just leave them in one mode, which is slow blinking with all lights flashing at once. It still looks good, but it would be much better if all modes worked correctly. Also, be sure to mark and note that the order of the light colors is the same on each skein (as shown in the main product photos). It might make a little obvious that there are certain horizontal bands of color and I think it would be better if it was done randomly, but it's not a defect so I wouldn't dock it based on that.
