Worked great on first try connecting my Lenovo ThinkPad 420s (1600x900) VGA to a 32" Vizio 1080p TV; Powered by USB from a laptop. The laptop screen immediately appeared on the TV screen (in the best color, I must say) with no adjustments. In the Win 7 Pro control panel, the second screen is called "VGA to HDMI" and the desktop can be extended to it. projector or screen surface. I expect to save many trees by not printing out copies of presentations and budget documents for everyone involved. And I don't need to buy a laptop with HDMI. The only downside is the presence of HDMI and VGA cables along with the box; I'll probably also add a USB socket for a charger to use separately from the computer (NB: the box uses USB Mini, not Micro). But for the opportunity I'm getting at this ridiculously low price I'll live with it!
