Review on 🍱 THERMOS Stainless King 24oz Food Jar – Vacuum-Insulated, Matte Steel by Simo Ramsey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thermos, Stanley, Zojirushi

I bought all three and they work as advertised. Zojirushi looks good and seems to be of better quality but I don't know if it's worth the much higher price compared to a thermos. In general, I don't quite agree with the idea of using a thermal container. See notes below. 24 oz King Stainless Steel Thermos made from food grade stainless steel. Fair price and does what it's supposed to. The lid is a bit small but functional. 24 oz Stanley Adventure Vacuum Food Container Slightly larger than the other two (but same internal capacity). It's nice to have a very large lid, but it's plastic. The outside of the container is painted and doesn't look as pretty as the other two. Food Jar Zojirushi SW-FCE75XA 25oz Black/Stainless Steel Vacuum Flask, not sure if it's worth it. And if you completely disassemble the lid each time you clean it (as recommended by the manufacturer), cleaning becomes a bit more complicated and there's one tiny part that's easy to lose. This jar lacks a lid, but vacuum jars seem to have plastic lids anyway, so it's not a huge loss. All in all, this is a well-made product if you're willing to pay the price. If the food you put in the container is hot in the morning, it will stay hot in the afternoon. All three containers appear to have about the same ability to keep hot food hot. Notes on all three: First, the lids are plastic. You may not notice the plastic taste or smell when filling containers with food. But if you pour boiling water into one of them and close the lid again, the water will soak up the plastic and the smell and taste will be overwhelming. I tested it in all three and the water was found undrinkable after being kept in the containers for about an hour. because the tanks are deeper than the smaller vacuum tanks. Soup might be easier to eat, and if you transfer food to another container before eating, it won't be a problem. However, remember that eating from a large bottle is far from ideal. Adding food to the container can also be another hassle and you may need to use a funnel to make the process quick and clean. It will be difficult if your hand doesn't fit.
