So we're wrapping up our first year as a motorhome owner and this is the first black tank treatment we've tried. Not always super efficient, but there might be other variables that influenced their effectiveness: how much dirt was left in the black tank, how much water was added to the empty tank when they were added, how much waste was left in the tank, how it was hot etc. With 90 degree weather and an unused motorhome we didn't find the perfect solution to keep all odors at bay. I started combining it with Campco's liquid blackhead remover for increased effectiveness. When using them, follow the instructions and add any amount of water to the black tank along with them. It's also best to add before leaving the campsite so road traffic will stir up the water in the tank and help dissolve the membrane so it's not left as a curdled mess at the bottom of the tank. -Error. They're not the best, they're not the worst. But I bet that's just one of 2-3 strategies you need to employ, especially during the hot summer months, to keep your black tank from getting stinky. **Make sure the resealable bag is closed tightly! Moisture will be your enemy if you don't.**
