The best thing about this case is that it protects the iPad. I paid $99 for an Apple cover, dropped it once, hit a corner and shattered the screen. Swapped the iPad a year later (the insurance was worth it), used the same case, fell on the carpet, still cracked. Again replaced the original insurance. Finally looking for a case that wraps the entire iPad, it fell off the couch, no cracks. works for me
