Jewelry tarnished anyway

I bought this in Feb 2021 to help organize my jewelry. I was excited, it looks cute and you can see what jewelry you have instead of staring into a pile of stuff trying to match up earrings and untangle necklaces. Basically some of my jewelry tarnished while sitting in this thing. It's weird because some tarnished and some looks fine - I'm talking about legit sterling silver jewelry. This stuff wasn't tarnished before putting it in the organizer. It was in the "pile" that I would stare into to find jewelry to wear. The pieces that are tarnished never tarnished before. So I don't know. Very frustrating.
