I bought the 27L and I still haven't been disappointed. As others have pointed out, one of the big and important things about the Maxpedition Entity line of bags is that they don't have that cluttered, tactical look. Only those who know (or own) the Maxpedition brand will likely be able to readily identify it as a Tactical/Ready/Camouflage Bag in Urban Camouflage. And that's good! The last thing anyone wants is to stand out like someone in a Sunday hat at a biker bar. The anthracite color is a bit darker than on the product image, which I see as a positive. Overall this is a good modern bag with plenty of storage space and features. It doesn't matter that it doesn't have velcro on the outside for all my smart fun morale patches. In addition to the overall look, the 27L offers a lot of storage space, organization and other useful things. Thoughts on options and features. All external zips have convenient ergonomic finger loops for opening and closing each section (internal zips do not). And while I had some trouble getting the main compartment zippers to work properly (they can be a bit clunky), I attribute this mainly to the fact that this is a brand new bag that hasn't been hacked yet. I hope it improves with time and continued use. The bag is divided into several areas: main compartment and laptop compartment, side compartments on the left and right, left compartment (with removable partition), trolley passage, belt passage and shoulder straps. . Each section is reviewed below as looking at images alone does not always give you a complete picture and use and opinion of each is always subjective. MAIN COMPARTMENT: This is the outermost compartment of the bag. The flap is tapered and when opened the flap is held in place by two strong internal locking straps that can be easily opened and detached for full access to the compartment. The attachment of the attachment straps allows access to the compartment without the risk of the contents spilling out of the bag. On the inside of the flap of this compartment is a small zipped top pocket that houses a strap and latch (good for attaching a key ring). Underneath the small zipped compartment is a lovely soft fluffy compartment that extends to the bottom of the flap. Additional storage items can be attached here with Velcro (organizer, combat patches). I am currently keeping a giant bag organizer in the main room while awaiting other orders. On the left and right sides of the main compartment are deep side pockets large enough to hold (for size reference) a 21oz hydroflask or bottle. folding umbrella) on each side. The back panel consists of two main parts: the zippered top (large enough for a glasses case or a large external charger and cable); and a bottom open pocket with a front zip pocket. Both the bottom pocket and the front zippered pocket are large enough to store cards. I currently keep my laptop power cords in here. LAPTOP COMPARTMENT: This compartment is located between the user's back and the main compartment. It fits comfortably in my 15 inch laptop (in its soft sleeve). There is some room on the sides, but not enough to let the laptop jump from side to side. And while the laptop doesn't take up all the space here, there's room to tuck away cables etc if you'd like. The zipper for this compartment doesn't open all the way to the bottom of the bag, which is a good thing. Who would risk owning a $500-$2,000 laptop? Nobody's sane, that's who. You only have to open the bag wide enough to put in or take out the laptop. are mirrored and have the same organization areas and pockets. Each side compartment has a zipped pocket on the inside of the flap, large enough to hold, for example, two 6" mobile phones stacked on top of each other, while still leaving room for cables. Inside the compartment is a large open pocket (big enough for about three decks of cards) in front of which are two smaller open pockets (each big enough for two lighters or a standard sized bottle). The side compartments open towards the user's back, making it easy for the user to access and not very easy for people who might want to look in from behind. The outside of each side compartment has an open pocket large enough to carry a 12-16 oz water bottle. My 21-ounce hydroflask only fits halfway into these pockets. I think it wouldn't fit at all if I put more stuff in those compartments. RIGHT SIDE COMPARTMENT: Whether you're hiding a firearm or storing something else, the clockwise compartment (which can be split into two compartments while keeping the Velcro in place) is accessible from either side via matching zippers. In general, this space is enough for four adult hands. Don't read in. I'm not a psychopath collecting human hands, I'm just giving you another arbitrary size comparison. I'm sure it goes just as well with a decent caliber firearm, some knives, big bags of jelly beans. Whatever floats on your boat. PASS-THROUGH TROLLEY: This compartment is located between the padding, which attaches directly to the user's back, and the left-hand rotation compartment. This section seems sufficient for the intended purpose, although it has not been tested at the time of writing this article. I was hoping the car would come with it, but oh well. At the moment it is not very important for my needs. STRAPS, PADDING & STRAPS: Overall, the straps and padding used in this bag are durable, comfortable, and appear to be well-made - whether it's the back padding, laptop compartment, or shoulder straps, all are well thought out and planned. My only complaint (if I could call it that) is that the detachable strap (which is held in place with Velcro) can take some fiddling to come loose. The cross-section of the strap is large enough to pass through, but it may be difficult to detach as the space for human hands is too small. If you have small doll hands, this may not be a problem for you at all. When packed, the bag looks very balanced. Unlike my tactical bag, I don't feel a sharp shift in center of gravity, and I don't experience any noticeable pain or discomfort from long-term carrying. Sudden changes in posture don't leave me feeling like I'm losing my balance or accidentally falling backwards. It looks like a good, sturdy and well-made bag. It offers plenty of storage space, well organized and convenient for everyday use. My first impressions are that this was a very good investment and I expect it to last significantly longer than any other bag I've owned. TLDR; DO THAT! Also, scroll back and read.
