Great experience, first time.
I was very nervous about making the switch to a safety razor. I really wanted to do it for environmental reasons. I read a lot of reviews and was blown away by all the options available. I finally decided on a Facon safety razor and have not regretted it a bit. Actually I love it! The shaver looks good. That is beautiful. And it comes with 50 blades. I think this is the perfect razor to start with if you want to use a safety razor. Short, light strikes are key, and you'll quickly become a master.
