I really take this duvet into the living room because it's so soft and cuddly. The duvet itself is quite heavy and its softness is amazing, not to mention it's very beautiful and luxurious. I find some threads "pulling", so to speak, and just cut them off (don't pull!) - no problem. That can just be normal. Also, I haven't washed it yet but will be back later with an update. I've read that there are very specific instructions that I will definitely follow. So far we are very happy with it! ***UPDATE*** 6/6/2020 I've had this duvet for a few months now, I've washed it several times and it's held up great. I follow the label directions pretty closely, but I always add a bit of fluff because I'm obsessed with Downey in everything. I also wash it on its own and then toss it in the dryer - no heat - then let it air dry. Every once in a while I find a few random lines, but I always clip them (don't drag!) and it seems to work. So far so good, I still like the purchase.
